Experimenting with color and shading….it’s a work in progress. I dunno, what do you guys think?
by Dominic Davi (2013)
I’ve been experimenting with incorporating a more 60’s style into my graphic work, AND trying to get used to drawing on my iPad. My first real attempt…not too terrible. See how far I can take it!
Starting tomorrow The Dinosaur Factory will move “en mass” down to Orange County to take part in Wondercon 2013. Once you are there….how will you find us. Well…we’ve provided a handy dandy map for you to use….
I was going to draw little people running away, but I realized I was starting to lose sight as to what the intention of this map was.
We will have a lot of goodies this weekend, including all the new art prints (“The Creature”, “Tiki Princess”, and of course what I have left of “Where The Wild Things Were”), plus all the shirts, and the lovely Olivia Dantes (famed pin-up and alternative model and burlesque performer) will be there as well. Rumor has it she plans to cosplay this year…so look for that. When not at our table, I’m betting she’ll be found in the Horror Collectible Section. I’m not kidding.
I’ll be doing commissions and hanging out all day talking about anything nerdy you want to chat about, and maybe I’ll even come clean about the new manga style comic book project I have coming together with a particular punk rock legend friend of mine….if it happens…it could be really really neat.
Alright…see you there!
We’ll be at Wondercon this weekend! Wish it was still in S.F., but excited to be doing another big convention down south! Can’t wait! Lots of new prints for sale! Woo!

WHERE THE WILD THINGS WERE (2007)
Limited Edition Screen Print
I created this in a low point in my life as a tribute to my favorite holiday, Halloween and for one of my favorite books. It predates the movie! Something about it has always made me smile. I printed this in Philadelphia and It’s still one of my favorite pieces. I only printed 100, each one signed and numbered by me and I have less then 25 left now. You can find it at my store at:
I’ve been kinda quiet about my own work for a while…no longer. Something new and different in the works…stay tuned!
